STAR (OMN) gil by Gillinder & Sons Incorporated/Philadelphia,Greensburg-PA(Operated: 1863-Today), c1870s Introduced

• AKA: Stippled Star
NOTE: Sid Lethbridge 2026: The Gillinder catalogues and price lists do not have a Star salt. Ruth Webb Lee's form list for the pattern in Early American Pressed Glass does not include a salt. The stippling on [this salt] is very different that what we see on Gillinder's Star. Jenks, Luna & Reilly state that the open salt is not an original shape. So it would appear to be a fantasy piece.
NOTE:database Team 2026: colored pieces in this pattern are reproduction
