NOTE: Heidi Crupe 2021: From the look of the patent I would say that the idea was to add water and then some sort of oil and then you would have some little holder of a wick which you would light.
NOTE: Hawk Jackson 2021: Known as a float lamp. A cork disk with a tin top had a wick through it. Then fill lamp with oil. Put cork disk burner on top of oil. Then after awhile light.
